Forgot "watashi" which means "I". And the object (as far as Japanese) grammar always comes first (this is just a reminder lol! ) comes first which means it would be:

I speak Japanese: Watashi (ga) Nihongo hanesemas/hanashimasu (I'm not sure on whether its hanashimasu or hanesmas yet...).

Um... Extra sentence lol:
I don't speak Japanese yet: Watashi Nihongo hanaesmas/hanashimasu mada mada ([not] yet).

Japanese numbers:
1: ichi
2: ni
3: san
4: shi, yon
5: go
6: roku
7: shichi, nana
8: hachi
9: kyuu, ku
10: juu
11: juuichi
12; juuni
13: juusan
14: juushi
15: juugo
16: juuuroku
17: juushichi, juunana
18: juuhachi
19: juukyuu
20: nijuu

Pay close attention t nuber 10-20. It will help you.

some more basic lessons

this-kore
that- sore
that over there-are

here-kono
there-sono
over there-ano

book-hon

what is this
(kore wa nan des ka)

you would respond as follows

that is a book
(sore wa hon des)

to respond to a what question simply replace "nan" with the answer. just remember to change "Kore, sore, and are" depending on the location of the object

wa - a sentence particle used to stress paticular points

des- a sentence particle translates as is or are depending on context

ka- a sentnce particle used at the end to make sentences a question
